Balancing Variety and Growth
Our Approach to Exhibitor Categories
At Promise Wedding Fayres, we love seeing our wedding supplier community thrive. Recently, we’ve noticed a fantastic trend of businesses expanding their horizons like photographers adding content creation to their packages or florists branching into venue styling. While this growth is a testament to the talent, it presents a unique challenge for us as organisers in maintaining a balanced and diverse floor plan for our couples.
Our core ethos is to curate a selection of services that provides couples with plenty of choice without making the room feel repetitive or overwhelming. To help us achieve this, we have refined our booking process from Autumn 2026 regarding primary and secondary categories.
Understanding Primary vs. Secondary Categories
To ensure every exhibitor has the best possible chance of securing bookings, we strategically space out similar businesses. To do this effectively, we require clarity on what you intend to showcase at the point of application:
- Your Primary Category: This is the core service you are booking to promote. It determines your placement on the floor plan and how you are listed in our event guide.
- Secondary Services: These are additional offerings you may provide. While you are welcome to discuss these with couples, we kindly ask that you do not display banners or promotional materials for secondary services at your stand unless previously agreed upon unless agreed in advance. Please note that we may not be in a position to agree until closer to the event when all stand spaces are booked.
Why This Matters
By focusing your physical display on your primary service, we can avoid over-saturation in specific categories. This "anti-duplication" approach ensures that if a couple visits five different stands, they are seeing five distinct specialties rather than seeing the same three services repeated at every turn.
Collaborative Bookings
We are big believers in "community over competition." If you frequently collaborate with another business and would like to be positioned next to each other, we are more than happy to accommodate this! To keep things fair and organised, please ensure that:
- Both businesses book their stands separately.
- You mention the request for adjacent placement in your application.
Please note, the booking process applies to both businesses and we cannot guarantee both businesses getting a space at the preferred fayres.
